Maria's latest project is The Fighter in Us, a documentary series featuring women boxers and trainers who have a strong connection and role within the boxing community. The Fighter in Us series is one of 89 recipients to receive the 2022 NYC Women's fund.

Maria's latest film Unlocked that she wrote and directed had its world premiere on October 14, 2023 at the Chelsea Film Festival celebrating their 11th year. Unlocked was one of 131 films to screen out of 2500 submissions. Unlocked can be seen at the Chelsea Film Festival's online platform until October 31st.
